Bangladesh Partnership for Cleaner Textile (PaCT) Program is proud to sponsor the prestigious second Dhaka Apparel Summit 2017 organized by Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA) on February 25, 2017. The event, inaugurated by Sheikh Hasina, Honorable Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, brought together key players of Bangladesh’s RMG sector to discuss strategies, pivotal for the sustainable growth of this giant industry.
PaCT Program Manager, Mohan Seneviratne was one of the key speakers of the session, ‘Collaborative and Responsible Sourcing for Sustainable Growth’, where he showcased PaCT’s success in promoting the adoption of Cleaner Production (CP) practices in the Bangladesh textile sector, and emphasized on how the program is playing a leading role in creating a shared vision among sectoral stakeholders to achieve environmental sustainability within the entire supply chain.
