Ms. Wendy Werner, Country Manager, IFC Bangladesh, visited Plummy Fashions Ltd (PFL), a LEED certified Platinum factory, and Esquire Knit Composite Ltd. (EKCL), a PaCT partner factory on November 17, 2016. During Ms. Werner’s visit, PFL demonstrated their commitment toward sustainable and accountable business practices in Bangladesh, while EKCL showcased the ground-breaking Cleaner Production initiates that they had undertaken under the PaCT program.
Ms. Werner also visited the Hajiganj Fire Station on the same day. While touring around the fire station after a warm reception, the firefighters displayed to Ms. Werner the type of equipment that they use, and explained the safety measures that need to be ensured in the textile and garment factory premises.
